Ronaldo: FIFA World Player award

Cristiano Ronaldo of Manchester United received the FIFA World Player Award for 2008 by Brazilian soccer legend Pele, which held in Zurich, on Monday night. Ronaldo had won this Award for the first time in his career.

Indian Open won by Liang

China’s Liang Wen-Chong who won the $1m Hero Honda Indian Open at the Delhi Golf Club (DGC) on Sunday after a sensational performance in the last 2 holes. The scores were:

1st - China’s Liang 16-under 272
2nd - Australia’s Darren Beck 15-under 273
3rd - Australia’s Adam Blyth 13 under 275

Ganguly announced his Retirement from Test Cricket

Ganguly(Dada) bids goodbye to Test Cricket after the four-match Border-Gavaskar Trophy series against Australia, which will begin on October 9. It was a shocking news for Media persons and other people about his retirement from test cricket.."I have decided to quit and I’ve told my team-mates before I have come here. This is going to be my last series. Thanks for all your support, hopefully we’ll go on a winning note. Thanks."

He was the captain for Indian Cricket Squad of about 6 years.

Yuvraj to Lead for Australia warm-up match

Yuvraj will lead the team for four-day warm-up match against the Australians in Hyderabad, starting on 2nd October.
