Oscar Nominated a Danny Boyle's film bagged 4 Prizes at Richard Attenborough Film Awards. The Movie was named as the "Film of Year", Best Director for Danny Boyle and a 18year old actor Dev Patel won the "Rising Star" award.

Slumdog's fame Patel, who previously acted in a TV series 'Skins' for E4, also won the British Breakthrough Star prize, in a new People's Choice award, E!Online reported.

80,000 jobs terminated in Single day Globally

Atleast 80,000 jobs lost in single day through out the world on Monday, that is on January 26th. From 80,000 jobs most of them are from construction machinery manufacturer Caterpillar, pharma major Pfizer, telecom firm Sprint Nextel and home improvement retailer Home Depot. This indicates that the recession attacked all Industries mainly machinery equipments.

Banking Sectors also announced the job cuts, from ING axed at about 7,000, Philips Company announced 6,000 job cuts and also the largest steel maker of British Corus also axed about 3,500 from its global workforce.

Slumdog Nominated for Oscar Awards:

Danny Boyle's Slumdog Millionaire, had bagged 10 Oscar Nominations. A R Rahman the Music Mastero had bagged tripple nominations for Best Original Score category and twice in the Best Original Song section. Rahman got the awards for the song “Jai Ho” and "O Saya”.

Below are the Nominations of Oscar Awards for Slumdog:

Another Engineer Of AP died in the US

Another Software Engineer from Andhra Pradesh, a 27 year Old Muthyala Purushottam was found dead in his flat on Thursday sources said. This is the Second Incident of Indians who died in US this month.

Purushottam, whose family stays in Anantapur attended a call from US informing that he is found dead in his flat's Bathroom on Tuesday night.

Purushottam was working for Triton Infotech and was married to 25-year-old Praveena Reddy, who is also from Anantapur.

US Airways jet crash Pilot lands in New York river: All 155 Survive

A cool-headed pilot ditiched the US Airways Jet landed it into Hudson River, in New York City on Thursday after a collision with a flock of birds apparently knocked out both engines.

Officals said that all 155 Passengers were rescued, one suffered with two broke legs, Paramedics treated atleast about 80 said that many of them had minor injuries, but there were no serious injuries.

The governor said, "a miracle on the Hudson."

Indian-techie murder in US : Suspected Arrested

A Indian Techie from Andhra Pradesh engineer Akshay Vishal who was working in Scam hit Satyam Computers, who was shot dead on Tuesday by a unknown person. Due to this Arkansas cops has arrested a 20 year old man who is strongly suspected with the murder case of Indian Techie.

Arkansas police not yet revealed any information about the suspect, but however local media identified the suscpect as Brandon Johnson.

Job cuts announced by Google, Motorola:

Global Recession which is also affected to mighty Google. Google's which is going to cut 100 recruiting jobs and also planning to close three engineering offices in Norway, Sweden and Texas, the company announced.

"Google is now hiring at a reduced rate it needs fewer people to hire people" said by the Laszlo Bock, Google's vice president of people operations in a Blog Post

Motorola to might cut more than 4,000 jobs. Last Year Motorola axed about 6,800 jobs and total 16,000 jobs cut from 2007

Indian Moon mission Chandrayaan-1 Sends 40,000 images in 75 days

Chandrayaan-1, beams back 40,000 images in 75 days which is great achievement for ISRO. Chandrayaan-1 was launched on Oct 22, 08 it has sent about 40,000 images in 75 days, it means is sending nearly 535 images daily, ISRO believe is quite a record compared to the lunar flights of other nations.

These Images were first transmitted to Indian Deep Space Network at Byalalu near Bangalore, from where they are flashed to ISRO's telemetry, tracking and command network at Bangalore.

Wipro had not done anything unethical, says Premji

As earlier said that the World Bank has barred Wipro from doing any business with the global lender, Wipro's Chairman Azim Premji stated addressing all his 100,000 employees saying that Wipro did nothing wrong and also stated that "Let me reaffirm that Wipro was right from a legal as well as ethical standpoint. We believe what we did what was right and we did it in the right manner."

WB stated that they are ineligible to receive contracts from the World Bank and Megasoft Ltd, have also been barred for four years since 2007.
