Gandhi's belongings Auctioned: Mallya bring's Gandhi's heritage back to India

Indian independence leader Mahatma Gandhi's belongings are auctioned in New York, in Frendzy bidding, the belongings were won by the famous Industrialist Vijay Mallya for about USD 1.8 million,which brought the Gandhi's heritage back to India.

Actually, the owner of the belongings James Otis had agreed to withdraw them from the auction but the auction house did not agree.

Gandhi's iconic items, including his glasses, sandals, pocket watch, plate and a bowl, in India has been fulfilled.

Tony Bedi said that it was "bidding for the country", who bidded on behalf of Mallya, and also this sale means that Gandhi's items would now return to India
